Hello, lovelies!
My name is Alexa Eure and I am a junior (soon to be SENIOR...unbelievable) at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. I am an Exercise Science major and plan to attend Physical Therapy school after graduating from the beautiful seahawk nation. If UNCW had a Physical Therapy school, you KNOW I would stay forever. I'm a fan of my school...can you tell?
So, a little bit of background on me. I am from the itsy bitsy town of Reidsville (or, how I explain it to everyone, "I live in the Greensboro area"). Throughout high school, I played soccer. I've kept up with my love of the beautiful game (please get the "She's the Man" reference) through intramurals. My family and friends are my absolute life. I love them so so dearly. I am super excited that my little sis is coming to UNCW next year! It's a bit of a Eure legacy...my older sister attended, I attend, and now my little sister is going to attend. I've proposed a scholarship in our name, but haven't heard back, so....
Fun fact: I am currently on exchange in England and am loving every bit of it. I'm studying, traveling to beautiful places, eating lovely food, drinking lots of coffee (oh, did I mention I'm completely in love with coffee?), and meeting friends from all different cultures. I can't tell you how completely life-changing this experience has been for me. So, my first word of advice is study abroad and alter your outlook on life forever.
Rapid fire fun facts: I am the proud parent of a grumpy cardigan welsh corgi named Toby (refer to slideshow). My favorite color is green. I attempt to play acoustic guitar, but I know about five chords. I love One Direction more than any 21 year old should (I mean, how could you leave, Zayn?). I have a paddle board, and my favorite study break is a quick sunset paddle in the intracoastal. Crunchy peanut butter is the most important food group in my diet. I am a big fan of grass culture, so every place I visit, I find the parks and local grassy hangouts. The sun gives me life. So does Jesus. Being a Seahawk Link has changed my life for the better and has greatly enhanced my college experience. I love to travel, but I hate to pack. I try to work out every day and eat right, but I love chocolate a whole lot. Dark chocolate is healthy, right? I love meeting new people and developing relationships. So, get to know me?

Goals
• Attend Physical Therapy school.
• Travel the whole wide world. - Side note: I am up to 11 countries, so I have a ways to go. • Find happiness and contentment in whatever comes my way. • Before I graduate, I want to learn how to surf and ride my long board around campus. |
Freshman Advice
• Get involved in anything that you are remotely interested in. You never know where or when you are going to find your lifelong friends!
• Study hard, but take breaks! Exercising relieves major stress (trust me, I'm an exercise science major). • Take walks on Wrightsville Beach at sunset. • Go to Flaming Amy's Bowl and change your life forever. • Be confident. • Enjoy every second of student life! • During finals, remember to breathe and take some time for yourself. And watch videos of laughing babies. Or clumsy puppies. It eases the stress. |
My Fave...
• Movies: Pride and Prejudice, She's the Man, and Anchorman
• Drink: Coffee • Spot: My paddleboard or my eno at sunset • Restaurant: Tower 7 // Flaming Amy's Bowl • UNCW tradition: Close tie between oozeball and beach blast • Experience: STUDY ABROAD • Study spot: Club Randall...that's what I call the Randall Library. 2nd floor is my spot, but I cannot start studying without Port City Java coffee. • Friday night activity: UNCW hockey games! They are so much fun to attend! • Quote: "I will learn to love the skies I'm under." This is from a Mumford and Sons song (one of my favorite bands), and it reminds me to be intrinsically happy. |
